Dr. George McGinniss received his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Georgetown Medical School. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. He then completed a sports medicine fellowship with the internationally recognized Dr. Frank Noyes, who established the basic clinical research responsible for the state of the art anterior cruciate reconstructions performed today.

He has helped to take care of the Cincinnati Bengals, the Olympic soccer and diving teams and is a team physician for local high school athletic teams. He was featured in WWF's HBO miniseries, "Tough Enough" as the "Sports Doc" and has treated many wrestlers. He was recently Director of the Stamford Hospital Department of Orthopaedics.

Dr. McGinniss is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North American and the American Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. McGinniss is the author and co-author of numerous articles on anterior cruciate ligament deficiency.
